About the property

A rare opportunity to acquire 6 acres of special reserve woodland located high above the Wye Valley between Monmouth and Chepstow with beautiful views across the river Wye towards the village of Redbrook. N.B. The owners will not permit any form of business use whether it be holiday/forestry or for shooting purposes.

Access is from Lone Lane via a gated path (wide enough for a 4x4 vehicle) that leads to an open paddock area of approx. 1 acre and continues almost the full length of the gently sloping land with a turning area at the end. The wide range of specimen trees include oak, ash, sycamore, cherry, beech, larch, Norway spruce, silver birch and field maple. There is historical evidence that 150 years ago the site was quarried for millstones, parts of which are visible. A natural spring supplies a small cottage on the other side of Lone Lane which has a protected water supply.   Read more
